NFF unveils Finidi George as Super Eagles coach

The Minister of Sports Development, John Enoh, officially introduced Finidi George as the new head coach of the Nigerian men's national team, the Super Eagles. The unveiling took place in Abuja at the Media Centre of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, attended by NFF leaders on Monday morning. Enoh expressed pride in having a Nigerian coach lead the team, highlighting George's experience as a former Super Eagles forward. George assumes the role permanently following the departure of Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro, whom he previously assisted during the African Cup of Nations. His first major task will be leading the team in the 2026 World Cup qualifier against South Africa's Bafana Bafana in June.
